The most daring and exciting fashion week is now underway- droves of stylish fashion eds and celebrities have flown in from the world over to see the unique shows that London always stands to offer. So far my favourites have been Acne
(who havedone some beautiful sheer pieces with red and navy and dove grey featuring heavily in daring styles), Richard Nicoll (again picking up on this sheer trend opting for a black triangle bra under mesh shirts and vests counterbalancing edgy with pretty) and finally Mulberry who have really outdone themselves this season.
Mulberry has been my favourite show (so-far!) this season, a really wearable delicate collection with something to suit everyone, a look easy to adopt on a budget and bags that are the stuff of dreams! Front Row guests included the irritatingly gorgeous Olivia Palermo and new fashion favourite Karen Gillan. The catwalk look was complimented intensely by the ruffled romantic surroundings all lending to the luscious girly show influenced by the cult documentary Grey Gardens. This collection really is what summer is about, juxtaposing the hard-edged minimalism of A/W and working to accentuate femininity!
Today shows to look forward to include the beautiful Erdem, quirky Peter Pilotto, Mark Fast- championing real women, exciting Christopher Kane and idiosyncratic MeadhamKirchoff. I'll do a piece at the end of the day on my favourite looks.
