Still at school, I find it really difficult to do up-to-minute fashion week updates and really struggled to keep it consistent when I tried with LFW, but for Milan and Paris I thought I would just wait until the shows are over before putting together the best of the fashion week. Now Paris is underway (so exciting! my favourite shows are mostly Parisian), Milan Fashion Week- the most glamorous of all- is finished. Here is my pick of the best in show (see more
Prada is always a show that really excites me! The design team are astonishingly creative and every season it's always something that feels totally fresh. Clashing prints in garish colours was the look this season with some lovely bold stripes and lace-prints. Colours were mismatched and a little bit zany but the overall look was surprisingly polished. Definitely a huge influence this season!

Donnatella really came up trumps this season! Not only was her Versace collection a great success but her latest collection with Christopher Kane on Versus was also beautiful! Versace is, I must admit, not one of my favourite fashion houses but I really liked this show. The show was fuelled by expensive-looking whites, with glossy black leathers and beautiful nudes all with that sexy Versace touch with that oh-so Italian styling. As ever, the finale dresses were an absolute knockout with sparkles and gorgeous shades.

MaxMara is a label that really epitomises Italian fashion for me- so glamorous and wearable but so elegant. The show was full of beautiful brights in really simple pieces. Trousers were a key piece in every colour from this crisp white to the hot colour lemon. Textures were mixed up in basics to make the look unique while still very classic. Notice the colour-pop heels and accessories which are due to be huge come summer!

This season Jil Sander's show was really exciting! The colours and shapes were revolutionary with almost circus-like frills on acid-bright dresses and some gorgeous colour combos. The show consisted of some really stunning dresses (which I focused on) as well as classic Jil Sander Tailoring in delicious colours! (Note the sheer panelling on the centre dress- SO hot for summer!)

Gucci, Gucci, Gucci- How do they do it?! Every season the show is is just THE most glamorous around! This season was like a box of chocolates with beautiful clean aqua colours coming through as well as satiny reds and safari-beiges. The draping is stunning and these really are clothes to flatter women! The jumpsuits were a personal favourite of mine but some of the dresses are the stuff of dreams.
Karl Lagerfeld- perhaps one of the busiest men in fashion?- really did Fendi proud this season. The look was simple with some beautiful light drapey pieces alongside the more outlandish looks (hiya red leather!). The colours were a real focal point with some lovely greens and blues along with brighter pops. The accessories were beautiful and I LOVED this bright red lip with the tousled blonde hair. Definitely an inspiration for summer beauty!
Emilio Pucci always do a really sexy collection and this season was no disappointment! The look was all skin, skin, skin and there was that hot 70s vibe coming through again (trend?). Dresses ranged from that beautiful Pucci print to cobalt mini-dresses and bitter chocoloate floor-length gowns. The look is so glamorous with some lovely statement pieces (a little depressing at the moment though- all these bronzed goddesses!)
D&G's show this season was typically cute! Ditsy florals adorned everything from handbags to floaty jumpsuits (jumpsuits are suddenly THE key piece!). Delicate lace appeared on little tops and trousers (worn together for a statement look) showing that the lace trend really is not going anywhere! The finishing touches were some towering platforms and cute little bandannas with sprinklings of gingham (slight 70s look again!). Lovee it!
Dolce and Gabbana's show was a little more sophisticated than their sister label opting for this beautiful modern-monochrome look. White lace was the norm at this show with little demure dresses and sheer blouses but it was broken up with occasional lashes of tailored black and leopard print looks (this is Dolce and Gabbana after all!). Some pieces were heavily embellished for a really expensive, luxurious look and I absolutely adored this ethereal look! A surprising favourite of mine!

Known for their luxury, Bottega Veneta showed a simplistic collection which looked an absolute dream! Draped silk jerseys in jumpsuits (once again, the it piece!) and dresses were everywhere for that really rich look. Accessories were simple with that iconic weaved-leather and some really lovely strappy heels and flats. The show was very discreet but still the epitome of style.
Last but not least, we have Christopher Kane's latest collection at Versus. The look was all sexy little dresses in lovely plaids and ditsy florals, but also in geometric block colours! Another triumph for Kane at the reigns of this huge label!
